Ricardo A. De La O                                                                  Licensed Massage Therapist, NM #7645

My name is Ricardo A. De La O, and I am honored to share a snapshot of my professional experience. I attended Massage Therapy Training Institute in Las Cruces, NM in 2000. Upon graduating from MTTI, I acquired a special interest for the clinical approach of massage therapy.
After many years of working closely with chiropractors and physical therapists, I was able to hone my skills for many disorders. These disorders include: headaches, sciatic nerve, TMJ, planter fasciitis, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, sports therapy, pre/post-surgery, carpal tunnel, and whip-lash protocols, just to name a few. My objective is to improve the overall quality of life for individuals through a holistic approach of massage therapy.
It has been my practice to utilize several modalities that includes: deep tissue, neuromuscular, trigger point, cranial, Swedish, and pre-natal. All modalities are performed in a delicate symphony to decrease pain and increase range of motion.
Please communicate with me to discuss any dysfunctions you may be dealing with, and to develop an individually tailored course of action to your specific needs.
Blessings of love and good health be with you!

Foot Reflexology is a practice that helps your body journey the path to a state of wellness and vibrant health. It is based on reflex points in the foot which mirror and connect all parts of the body, including organs, glands, circulatory and nervous systems. Reflexology has many benefits - it can help rid the body of toxins, reduce tension and stress, improve circulation, relieve pain, improve blood and oxygen flow and strengthen the immune system.

  • Shelby Schue

Shelby Schue, Certified Reflexologist NM #CR012

Board Member - New Mexico Association of Reflexologists

Shelby grew up in New York, lived in many states and has traveled the world. She lived in Johnson, Vermont, a small college town during the late sixties where she raised her three wonderful children. In 1969, she established a health food store, one of the first of its kind. The concept of health food stores was quite new as a movement was growing to redefine food as natural. Customers sought out her whole grain flours, which she milled in the back of the store and made her own granola.

Around1970 Shelby enrolled at the International Institute of Reflexology and trained in the Ingham Method. Since then she began working with the local folks and promoted Reflexology on radio and television. In 1985, Shelby traveled to New Zealand and stayed at a health ranch in Queenstown. It was at this time she studied with a blind healer who shared her knowledge of Reflexology and Iridology, which fed Shelby’s existing love of Reflexology.

As a pioneer in Reflexology, she is pleased to see this valuable practice revered and growing in this country. People are realizing the benefits, not only for on-the-spot healing, but also as a preventative for many ailments. Shelby does not diagnose, but she can give people a good idea of where a challenge may lie.

In the mid eighties, Shelby learned the technique of Rebirthing or Conscious Breathing.  She recognized that this is a powerful way to explore one’s own inner self. Since then, Shelby has performed rebirthing sessions on thousands of people. She has been rebirthed many times herself. In the 1980s she was rebirthed every other week for 2 ½ years.

In 1994, Shelby moved to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, drawn to this area by the mild winters and people’s open hearts. These days Shelby can be found in her lovely restored historic adobe home just outside of downtown Truth or Consequences. Surrounded by lovely gardens, her oasis brings her joy, peace and tranquility. She is grateful in many ways to be here and sharing her love and healing abilities.

Shelby is happy to share the gift of Reflexology and Rebirthing with you!

With 46 years of experience, Shelby utilizes reflex points for whole-body balancing.

Shelby serves as a Board Member of the New Mexico Association of Reflexologists, Santa Fe, NM.

  • Tarot

The earliest origins of the Tarot cards are somewhat ambiguous and remain shrouded in mystery. Some believe their use began in ancient Egypt, some with the ancient Celts. Others believe they came from China, India or Persia….Wherever the truth lies, what we do know is today’s deck dates back to the mid-fifteenth century when the aristocratic Italian Viscounti-Sforza family commissioned the painting of several Tarot decks.

The 78-card deck has been used in many different ways during its existence. There is evidence that it was originally employed as a card game called tarot in France and tarocchi in Italy. Many different decks exist today and the fascination with the Tarot continues.

Many people believe the Tarot to be “fortune-telling” cards. This is somewhat of a misnomer. The cards are not intended to predict a “fixed future.” Rather, they are a way to connect more powerfully with ourselves in the present by working with their symbolism. That’s where the “reader” comes into play. These are people who have studied the card’s symbolism over a period of years and can facilitate a connection or bridge if you will, to gain stronger access to your intuitive and spiritual life.

For those who are new to having a Tarot “reading”, it’s not unlike going to a career counselor. The cards are a tool that can help reveal patterns in relationships; our strengths, weaknesses, and access information to on-going questions about our purposes on Earth. A Tarot reading can have a cathartic effect creating a “A-ha” moment that can clear a path toward your greater aspirations. For others it can be an experience of emotional support during a time when they feel as if “the Path” is clouded from view. It can also be just plain fun!

Enjoy life, it’s precious, and if you would like to experience a Tarot reading, just make the appointment!

Rebecca Speakes, Tarot Reader

Rebecca has been reading the tarot for over 25 years. Her readings focus on the positive energies in life. Readings are based in the present. From this perspective, our futures can be optimized by choices made in the present. Tarot readings can help guide us in making decisions. Many of your pressing questions about what’s going on in your life can be answered.

Reiki / SRT / SpR

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) moves one toward balance of the whole being: spiritual, emotional, mental and physical.

This ancient form of balancing allows the body to self-heal and whole on all levels while providing a sense of nurture. It will be as if you have come home and turned on the light switch. With use, the light becomes brighter and brighter.

Follow the happenings of life; they will bring you to places and people who will promote inner growth. One may find that focal points and priorites of living are altered. More often you will find a quiet honesty about your actions and lifestyle. Be prepared for growth and change, accept and enjoy what happens.

Brenda Valencia,  Reiki Master/Teacher, Energy Medicine

Her training is based on Barbara Brennan's curriculum. Energy Medicine can help to clear and align the chakras and to restore balance to the body's energy field.

Brenda will work intuitively to incorporate both healing modalities during a session.

Usui Tibetan Reiki/Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT)/Spiritual Restructuring (SpR)/Dowser

After many years in corporate America Cyndi is now following her passion and her life purpose - sharing with and affirming others.

Cyndi's path has been defined through a process of personal life experiences and health challenges, which led her to seek complementary methods of healing and self nurturing. These are now recognized and defined as pan-dimensional self-care. Through the process of partnering with clients, Cyndi assists in affirming and  removing blocks that hold individuals back in personal growth, understanding, careers and abundance relating to the fulfillment of life purpose or mission. Cyndi works intuitively to uncover aspects of body, home, family, life and career that may be enhanced.

SRT utilizes access to your High Self through dowsing in order to access the Akashic Records. The intention is to remove block or repeating patterns which may hold one back from their highest potential.

SpR is a form of breathwork used with the intention to realign and balance muscles, body systems and energy flow within the body and the subtle energy fields off the body. May be done with dowsing or muscle testing.
